Evaluation of the fertiliser replacement value of phosphorus-saturated filter media

The use of filter media to adsorb phosphorus (P) from nutrient-rich waters is an effective, simple and low-cost method recover reuse P as inorganic fertiliser replacement. Although it assumed that the saturated can be applied cropland a safe replacement, there presently lack information on replacement value (FRV) such products their negative effects plants soil. Therefore, aims this paper were evaluate (1) removal capacity plant response soil application waste three sectors (industry, agriculture, construction demolition), natural synthetic materials (2) potentially confounding risks arising (3) factors affecting fertilising efficiency once predominant FRV P-saturated adsorption chemical composition, pH, composition water used for saturation.
